Himachal Pradesh CM Swearing-In Live Updates: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu takes oath as Himachal Pradesh CM

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu (58) took oath as the 15th chief minister of Himachal Pradesh in a ceremony held at the historic Ridge Maidan of Shimla on Sunday. AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former AICC president Rahul Gandhi were present to witness the occasion as after facing crushing defeat in many states finally Congress has managed to put a break on the winning streak of BJP in Himachal Pradesh by winning 40 seats. Before his oath taking, Sukhu had gone to meet state Congress president Pratibha Singh at her residence Holly Lodge. Till the time Congress Legislature Party (CLP) did not elect its leader officially on Saturday late evening, the supporters of Pratibha Singh kept on pressurising the party high command and central observers through intense protest for her appointment as chief minister.
