Man celebrates wedding anniv by donating ₹2 crore worth land for police station
A J Shajahan, a UK-based NRI, marked his wedding anniversary by donating land worth 2 crore for constructing a permanent building for the Chozhapuram police station in Thanjavur. The donation was made to DSP G K Raju and will benefit 13 villages and 34 hamlets by providing a dedicated facility for local law enforcement.

The Confederation of SCs & STs Organisations has urged Mangaluru City Corporation and Mangaluru Smart City Limited to develop Ambedkar Circle and install a statue of BR Ambedkar. They have submitted a development plan, including traffic signals, footpaths, and zebra crossings. A meeting to discuss the proposal is scheduled for September 9.
