Taylor Swift's upcoming July 3 wedding to
Travis Kelce is shaping up to be the celebrity event of the decade. A-listers, NFL royalty, and the entire Swift squad are reportedly on the guest list. But one name is conspicuously absent:
Harry Styles. And that puts his fiancée, Swift's best friend Zoë Kravitz, in an impossible spot.
Zoë Kravitz is invited to Taylor Swift's wedding. Her fiancé, Harry Styles, is not
Hollywood insider Rob Shuter confirmed that Kravitz is welcome at Swift and Kelce's wedding, but she cannot bring Styles as her plus-one. That's a pretty pointed condition. Insiders say Styles was "never considered" for an invitation, with sources explaining that Swift and Kelce wanted the day focused on their future, not on revisiting one of Taylor's most famous past relationships. Travis reportedly doesn't want his family, friends, and teammates spending the evening making small talk with Taylor's ex. Fair enough, honestly.
So why is this even complicated?
Because Zoë Kravitz is not just any guest. Swift and Kravitz have been close since 2016, when the actress was first photographed with Swift's tight circle of friends at a dinner in New York. The friendship deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic when the two formed a quarantine pod in London while Kravitz was filming “The Batman.” These two have a real history. This isn't a casual acquaintance being asked to leave her boyfriend at home.
It gets deeper. During the deadly California wildfires, Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, sheltered at Swift's Beverly Hills estate for two weeks. The stay produced one of the stranger celebrity stories of 2025. Bonet's pet snake, Orpheus, got trapped inside a bathroom wall, forcing Kravitz and Swift's house manager to tear through tile and drywall to retrieve it. Swift later joked on Late Night With Seth Meyers that her first question was "What snake?" She had no idea the reptile was even on the premises. That's the kind of friendship you don't throw away over a plus-one dispute.
Swift and Styles dated briefly from late 2012 to early 2013 and are reportedly on good terms now. Styles began dating Kravitz in late 2025, making this the world's most star-studded love triangle that isn't actually a love triangle. Either way, Styles won't be making it to the July 3 ceremony regardless; he's in the middle of a record-breaking 12-night run at Wembley Stadium between June 12 and July 4. The schedule conflict does the awkward work for everyone.
So Zoë Kravitz gets to attend her best friend's wedding of the century, just not with her fiancé. Whether she shows up solo or skips entirely to avoid the optics is the real question nobody is talking about yet.
