The episode begins with Hasmukh and Samar talking about how courageously Anupamaa confessed her feelings for Anuj in front of everyone. Hasmukh feels proud and tells Samar that Anupamaa's confession made everyone emotional.Vanraj overhears their conversation and gets irked. Rakhi mocks him as he is unable to control his family.Rakhi says that she can't wait for Anupamaa to return as the Shahs' will create drama and she will get a chance to take Kinjal along with her.

In the episode, Hasmukh tells Anupama that she should focus on her house, her husband, and her daughter and leave the Shah family and their problems alone. He claims to understand her emotions, but believes they are causing problems in his marriage. Leela shouts at Kavya for making a scene at Kapadia's house. Vanraj says that whatever Anuj said was true and he will from now on take up his family's responsibilities and not disturb them. Anupamaa approaches Anuj. Anuj wonders how sadness entered their relationship, and if he was too slow in conveying his message to her. Anuj expresses a desire to be alone for a period of time. Ankush, on the other hand, becomes drunk. Barkha disagrees, claiming that they did not come here to drink. Barkha says she is embarrassed by her husband's failure. Ankush asks Barkha what has she done as a wife for him. Barkha claims she purchased expensive hotel passes in order to relax rather than fight. Leela invites Hasmukh to sleep inside.

Tensions flared in Anupamaa as the Kotharis targeted her, but Prem and Anil offered a warm welcome. Anupamaa defended Prathna's happiness, confronting Gautam's past mistreatment. Despite Vasundhara's refusal and Khyati's accusations, Leela vowed the marriage would proceed, and Anupamaa offered to host a grand wedding, surprisingly supported by Parag.

Anuj returns home and Anupamaa shouts at him for leaving the house without informing her. She asks him to go to his house and closes the door. Anuj apologises. When he turns back, he notices his nameplate on the flat in front of Anupamaa's flat. Anupamaa opens the door and says that she talked to the landlord and bought this house for him. She then tells him that she won't leave him even if she's angry. Anuj sings 'Ek Ghar Banaaunga Tere Ghar Ke Saamne' and Anupamaa blushes.
