Fire Breaks Out On Tanker Carrying 24 Indians Near Strait Of Hormuz | WATCH

A maritime emergency unfolded off the coast of Oman after a fire broke out aboard the oil tanker Marivex, which was carrying 24 Indian crew members. Indian authorities confirmed that all sailors are safe and that the vessel was not carrying cargo at the time of the incident, reducing the risk of a larger disaster. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The incident prompted coordination between India's Shipping Ministry, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Navy, diplomatic missions in the region and Omani authorities. The fire occurred near the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints for global energy supplies.
