The Russian Defence Ministry claimed its Sever battlegroup captured the village of Miropolye in Ukraine’s Sumy region after what it called “decisive actions” along the northern front. Moscow said the advance was part of a broader push to fracture Ukrainian defensive lines, backed by strikes on energy nodes, drone launch sites, and troop concentrations. The statement also detailed heavy Ukrainian losses across multiple sectors as Russian units pressed coordinated assaults from Sumy to Donetsk, intensifying pressure along the frontier.
