Pakistan Senator Mushahid Hussain voiced concern over strengthening ties between India and the United Arab Emirates, warning of wider geopolitical consequences. In a TV interview, the Pakistan Senator justified Islamabad’s decision to repay billions in UAE loans, calling it an act of solidarity with a “brother in need.” Citing historical ties linked to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, he said Pakistan contributed to the UAE’s development, including defence support. Hussain also claimed the UAE faces pressure from regional conflicts and financial outflows, referencing Donald Trump. He warned that close India-UAE relations and a large Indian diaspora could raise concerns about “Akhand Bharat.”
