BENGALURU: A gearless scooter was gutted in a fire after a speeding MUV rammed into it, dragging it for over 100 metres on Jayamahal Main Road, RT Nagar, Saturday night.
The rider, Roopa from Sanjaynagar, was hospitalised with minor injuries, police said.

The accident was recorded on a CCTV camera and showed how the MUV rear-ended the scooter.
The scooter fell on its left side and got stuck under the front-left wheel.
As the MUV moved for around 100 metres, an accidental fire broke out after petrol leaked from the fuel tank of the mangled scooter.

RT Nagar traffic police said they are looking for the driver, who fled the scene.
