IPL T20 betting racket busted in Bengaluru, 23 arrested; Rs 13.39 crore seized
BENGALURU: Twenty-three people have been arrested on Tuesday in connection with alleged illegal betting during the IPL T20 cricket tournament, according to news agency PTI.The Special Investigation Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) conducted raids at several locations across the Bengaluru under different police station limits.Police registered 17 separate cases related to cricket betting and detained 23 accused during the operation.Officials said they seized seven mobile phones worth around Rs 1.10 lakh, cash of Rs 1,06,433 and betting chips valued at nearly Rs 13.37 crore.According to police, the total value of the seized items was estimated at Rs 13.39 crore.
