Gang which sold rented cars busted, 8 seized worth 1.10 Cr

Bhopal: Police have recovered eight four-wheelers worth Rs 1.10 crore from a gang that would take vehicles on rent and later sell them by posing as the owners.Bagh Sewania police made the detection on Saturday based on a complaint by a car owner whose vehicle was taken on rent by the accused and later sold.Police identified the accused as Rahul, Syed Jameer, Shammi, Anurag and Sameer. Rahul has been arrested, while efforts are underway to nab the remaining four, police said.According to police, seven of the eight vehicles recovered have Bhopal registration numbers. One of the vehicles was sold in Chhindwara and later recovered from there.
