Man booked for molesting minor stepdaughter

Chandigarh: Police registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually molesting his 12-year-old daughter. The girl’s mother informed the police, who registered a case under relevant sections of BNS and the Pocso Act. The accused has been on the run since.The complainant said her husband died around four years ago and she remarried a resident of Panchkula around one year ago.She said her second husband used to molest her daughter, who told her about it a few months ago.The accused apologised to her and assured that he would not repeat the act but she caught him red-handed a few days ago, the complainant said. Raids are on to nab the accused.
