CHANDIGARH: Over a dozen city-based organizations including schools and colleges left no opportunity to lure sponsors slip by.
They were promoting their institutions by means of pamphlets and hoardings, with student
representatives pitching in by organizing stalls at the Nasscom initiative conference on e-governance titled Transforming Region: Harnessing Technology for Inclusive Growth, where business honchos had gathered under one roof.
Mohit Bagga, a second year student of production engineering department of Punjab Engineering College (PEC) and a member of entrepreneurship circle, said, A group of seven students from our college have been selected by a private company, which is why we are selling magazines here. He said books on telecom, business, gadgets and IT business are selling like hot cakes.
