Woman dies by suicide

Chandigarh: A 47-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at a housing society at VIP Road on Zirakpur. The deceased, Kanchan Gupta, wife of Satish Kumar, lived with her family in a flat.According to preliminary investigations, other family members were also present in the house at the time of the incident. The deceased is survived by her 19-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter.Police said no external dispute or suspicious circumstances have emerged in the case so far. Family members said the woman had been under mental stress for some time due to domestic issues. Police are examining all possible angles as part of the investigation.After receiving information about the incident, a police team led by ASI Ravinder Singh reached the spot and initiated an investigation.According to preliminary investigations, other family members were also present in the house at the time of the incident.
