NEW DELHI: Delhi high court will hear Friday a petition by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke against blocking of the satirical digital outfit’s social media account on X.The petition, listed for hearing before Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, argues CJP’s account has been arbitrarily suspended by govt citing national security concerns. It also alleges CJP’s Instagram account, website, and backup social media handles were taken down as part of a wider crackdown on the movement.Dipke, earlier associated with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), launched CJP amid a controversy over remarks attributed to CJI India Surya Kant on “cockroaches” and “parasites” during hearings on May 15 on a plea concerning senior designation for a lawyer.
