Ram Yantra installation has brought joy to Sanatan followers: Yogi
Lucknow: Invoking a feeling of Ram Rajya during the consecration of the Shri Ram Yantra at the Ram Temple on Thursday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said while the world was facing wars, disorder, economic instability, fear, and terror, the event in Ayodhya brought thousands of people together for the ceremony that brought joy to followers of Sanatan Dharma. He also praised the present generation for choosing to visit temples with their families on New Year, rather than going to "tourist destinations where activities oppose Sanatan values"."The Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of the Ram Mandir, the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla, the installation of the sacred idols of Ram Darbar, the hoisting of the flag, and now the consecration of the Shri Ram Yantra fill every follower of Sanatan Dharma and every true Indian with immense joy. This reflects the deep-rooted faith of India," the CM said.Hitting out at Opposition parties for insulting faith by calling it "blind belief", the CM said that faith which remained steadfast for 500 years, endured struggles, and did not break under pressure, and now manifested in the form of the temple in Ayodhya, which stood proudly for the world to see. Opposition, he said, insulted faith by refusing to visit Noida as part of a blind belief that they would lose their position if they went there. They also labelled the Ram temple, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Krishna-Kanhaiya of Mathura-Vrindavan as superstition, he said."India remains India because of the penance of sages, the hard work of farmers, the enterprise of artisans, and the enduring faith that has upheld the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'. The completion ceremony of the Shri Ramjanmabhoomi has brought joy not only to the people of the state but also to followers of Sanatan Dharma across the country and the world," Yogi said.Elaborating on his pride in the current generation for rejecting tourist destinations that opposed Sanatan values but instead visiting temples, the CM said that 156 crore devotees and tourists visited religious and spiritual sites across Uttar Pradesh in 2025. He said that the number of visitors to Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj Mahakumbh, and Mathura-Vrindavan exceeded the population of many countries. This, he said, was reflective of a new and changing India, where the present generation is no longer misguided but is moving in the right direction of choosing Sanatan values over the rest.Yogi expressed gratitude to seers, devotees of Lord Ram, artisans, and workers who contributed to the construction of the Ram temple. He also paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Ram temple movement and to late VHP leader Ashok Singhal.
