Karnataka woman dies by suicide over marital dispute
CHIKKAMAGALURU: A 36-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her home in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru after being distressed over a marital conflict, police said on Wednesday.The incident came to light around 3.30 am. The deceased identified as Padma, a homemaker and wife of Police Sub Inspector Thippesh, was found dead at her residence in Birur town of Kadur taluk. According to police, she allegedly took the extreme step by hanging herself from a ceiling fan following ongoing disputes in her marriage.The couple had been experiencing frequent arguments and tensions in recent times, officials said.No suicide note has been recovered so far. The couple had been married for 12 years and are survived by two young children, aged six and two.
