Speeding Truck Collides with House and Shop in Chatra, Causing Major Damage
Chatra: A speeding coal-laden truck crashed into a residential house and a grocery shop at Mishraul Bazaar under the Tandwa police station limits on Saturday around 4 am.The driver of the vehicle was heading towards Simaria when he lost control and rammed into the house and shop owned by Pradeep Tiwari. A major portion of the house and the store room of the shop were completely damaged under the impact. Goods, worth several lakhs, besides household items and furniture were buried under the debris. However, there were no major injuries.Officer in-charge of the Tandwa police station Pappu Kumar Sharma said, “The truck has been seized. Action would be initiated against the vehicle owner and driver. The driver suffered some injuries and was sent to a hospital.”
