PC Vishnunadh of INC secured a decisive victory in Kundara, defeating S L Sajikumar of CPI(M) by 32,564 votes. This win follows his 2021 election triumph, highlighting his continued support in the constituency. With 87,862 votes, Kundara saw PC Vishnunadh winning against S L Sajikumar of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). This victory was recorded by a margin of 32,564 votes. This win came after he was elected in 2021 with 76,405 votes (48.85 per cent), defeating CPI(M)'s J. Mercykutty Amma (71,882 votes, 45.96 per cent) by 4,523 votes, while BDJS's Vanaja Vidyadharan got 6,100 votes (3.90 per cent) amid total valid votes of 155,691.For the 2026 elections, the participating candidates were PC Vishnunadh (INC), S L Sajikumar (CPI(M)), and DrRobin Radhakrishnan (BJP).Kundara Assembly constituency is a general seat in Kollam district, Kerala, encompassing Kundara town and rural panchayats with rubber plantations, cashew processing units, and diverse communities shaping its politics.
