Flood information centre will be set up in 14 places in Tamil Nadu and in 100 places in the country, the centre said on Wednesday.
Further, 878 centres will be set up to monitor the flood situation in rivers. At least 500 people have died due to rain in Tamil Nadu. Also, many people have died due to heavy rains that lashed Gujrat, Rajasthan and West Bengal in August.
