A Delhi court on Friday said AAP MP Raghav Chadha cannot claim that he has an absolute right to continue to occupy a government accommodation during his tenure even after the allotment was cancelled. Court said that Raghav Chadha cannot assert an unconditional right to retain a government accommodation throughout his tenure, even following the cancellation of his allotment. This statement came in the context of a legal case between the MP and the Rajya Sabha Secretariat regarding the allocation of a Type-VII bungalow. The Rajya Sabha Secretariat had revoked Chadha's allocation to a Type-VII bungalow situated on Delhi's Pandara Road back in March. He was informed that this allotment was rescinded on the grounds that a Type-VII accommodation exceeded the entitlement granted to a first-time MP, and he was subsequently assigned a different residence.
