The Vande Bharat sleeper train between KSR Bengaluru and Mumbai CSMT is expected to start operations by August, offering a faster and more comfortable travel option for passengers.

The train will run through Solapur and Kalaburagi, providing improved connectivity on this route and linking key regions between Bengaluru and Mumbai more efficiently.

The new service is expected to reduce travel time to around 15 hours, compared to over 24 hours currently taken by existing trains on the same route.

Services are likely to begin in the evening, allowing passengers to travel overnight and reach their destination in the morning, making it convenient for long-distance travellers.

For over a decade, Udyan Express has been the only direct train on this route, with a long journey time, highlighting the need for faster alternatives.

Recent sleeper train services have received very positive feedback, with most passengers rating their experience as excellent or very good, showing growing demand for such trains.

There are also plans to introduce another superfast train between Bengaluru and Mumbai via Hubballi and Pune, featuring modern LHB coaches for improved comfort and speed.
