8 flights affected as IndiGo, Air India announce temporary suspensions

Bhopal: Authorities at Raja Bhoj Airport have issued a notice advising passengers of several temporary changes to flight operations due to operational reasons, affecting services operated by IndiGo and Air India. In all, 8 flights have been affected.IndiGo’s Hyderabad–Bhopal–Hyderabad service (6E7523/7524) will be suspended for a two-week period. The carrier has cancelled the route from June 1 to June 15, 2026, disrupting connections between the state capital and Hyderabad during that interval.Air India has announced extended suspensions on two of its Bhopal services. The Mumbai–Bhopal–Mumbai flight (AI633/634) will remain cancelled from June 1 through July 31, 2026. However, the airline will operate the service on two exception dates — June 18 and July 7 — during the suspension window. Meanwhile, the Delhi–Bhopal–Delhi service (AI1723/1894) will be grounded for the month of July, with cancellations effective from July 1 to July 31, 2026.Passengers travelling on Bengaluru routes should also note schedule adjustments. IndiGo’s Bengaluru–Bhopal–Bengaluru service (6E368/393) will see a reduction in frequency for an extended period. From June 17 to October 24, 2026, the flight will operate three times weekly, running on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only. The carrier has not indicated additional exception dates for this change.Airport officials reiterated that these revisions stem from operational considerations and advised affected passengers to check updated flight statuses directly with IndiGo and Air India. “Travellers holding bookings on the listed flights are encouraged to contact their airlines for information on rebooking, refunds or alternate routings,” said director airport, Ramjee Awasthi.Raja Bhoj Airport officials added that it will continue coordinating with carriers to minimise disruption and will share further updates as they become available.
