Ind candidate Vikas defeats BJP nominee by 295 votes in Jhajjar
Jhajjar: Independent candidate Vikas scored a decisive victory in the Ward No. 13 by-election of the Jhajjar municipal council, defeating BJP nominee Sudhanshu by 295 votes in counting held peacefully on Wednesday. Vikas secured 1,007 votes against Sudhanshu's 712, while eight voters chose NOTA. The bypoll, held on Sunday, saw enthusiastic participation with 1,727 voters casting their ballots.The counting of votes was carried out at Shaheed Ramesh Kumar Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School in Jhajjar under the supervision of district administration officials amid elaborate security arrangements. The electoral exercise was conducted under the guidance of deputy commissioner and district election officer Swapnil Ravindra Patil.
