Karnataka chief secretary seeks probe into alleged irregular recruitment at CUK
Kalaburagi: Chief secretary of Karnataka govt Shalini Rajneesh has written a letter to central govt's chief secretary of higher education, Vineeth Joshi, and sought a comprehensive investigation into the alleged recruitment to the public relations assistant registrar's post at Central University of Karnataka. It was alleged that BJP MLC N Ravikumar's personal assistant, Shrikant Kusur, has been selected and given approval for recruitment by the executive committee of CUK. Shalini Rajneesh, who is also a member of the executive committee, was not informed about the recruitment of Shrikant, she alleged in her complaint. She said there were many candidates in the list who scored more than Shrikant, but they have been sidelined for Shrikant, who is a personal assistant of BJP MLC N Ravikumar. It is also alleged that it is mandatory while selecting the candidate for public relations should have worked in a media house for at least two years. Other candidates aleged that Shrikant has not worked in any media house and has attached a fake experience certificate. This clearly shows that the MLC has used his influence to get Shrikant appointed, they said.Aspirants of the public relations post have also written a letter to the centre's higher education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in which they said that the candidate selected for the public relations post has provided fake certificates to the university.
