KSRP cop killed in Hubballi accident

Hubballi: A KSRP head constable was killed in a road accident on PB Road near the Income Tax Department in Nava Nagar, Hubballi, on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Nagesh Siddappa, who was serving with the 10th KSRP Battalion here. Police said he was travelling from Hubballi towards Dharwad on a two-wheeler when it collided with a petroleum tanker at 3pm. He died on the spot due to serious head injuries. Sangamesh Palabhavi, police inspector, North traffic police station, Hubballi, told TOI that a KSRP head constable was killed in a road accident after he collided with a tanker in Navanagar. It is said the tanker hit the motorcycle of the policeman, killing him on the spot. A case has been registered, he added. Personnel from the north traffic police station visited the spot, inspected the spot and registered a case.
