3,396 kg spices worth Rs 9L seized in Indore

Indore: The divisional food flying squad raided several spice manufacturing units and seized 3,396 kg spices worth Rs 8.98 lakh during a special anti-adulteration drive in Indore on Saturday. The drive targeted facilities along Khandwa Road with nine food samples collected for laboratory testing.Officers collected four samples of chilli and coriander products from Rathore Traders and three samples of turmeric, chilli, and mustard dal from Saurabh Spices Private Limited.At HK Food, the squad collected two samples and seized 998 kg of suspected chilli powder and 2,398 kg of noodles masala.All samples have been dispatched to the State Food Testing Laboratory for detailed analysis ahead of legal action.
