NRI student dies in Eluru road crash

Eluru: In a tragic incident, a student from Eluru who was pursuing higher education in Paris, France, died in a road accident on Saturday. The accident occurred on the National Highway near China Palaparru village in Mudinepalli mandal of Eluru district.The victim, Naidu Bhanu Jayaram Prakash (28), a native of Onadurru village in Mudinepalli mandal, was pursuing his M.S. in Paris. He had returned to India four months ago to attend his cousin's wedding. On Friday night, he took part in the wedding celebrations held in Gudivada and returned to his village afterward.On Saturday morning, he was again travelling to Gudivada to visit a relative when the accident took place. As the car approached China Palaparru, the driver reportedly lost control of the steering due to drowsiness and veered into the wrong lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a lorry. Jayaram Prakash died on the spot.Mudinepalli sub inspector V S Veerabhadra Rao has registered a case and is investigating the incident.
