Two held for house break in offences in Chittoor, booty worth Rs 15 lakh recovered
Tirupati:Chittoor police arrested two accused involved in house break-in offences and recovered stolen property, including gold, silver and cash worth approximately Rs 15 lakh on Saturday. According to Chittoor DSP Venkatanarayana, a house break-in was reported at the Murakambattu locality on the outskirts of Chittoor on April 14 at the residence of one Balaji. Four special police teams formed to investigate the case nabbed N Ramanjaneyulu of Dharmavaram and Noorullah of Renigunta near Penumuru on Saturday. Police recovered gold ornaments weighing 100 grammes, silver articles weighing 119 grammes and Rs 1 lakh cash from the possession of the accused. According to Chittoor DSP, Ramanjaneyulu was an accused in 24 house break-in offences registered at multiple police stations across the state. Police investigation revealed that Noorullah used to assist Ramanjaneyulu in committing the house break-in offences.
