Tenkasi election results 2026: DMK’s Dr. Kalai Kathiravan wins by 10,299 votes

In Tenkasi, DMK candidate Dr. Kalai Kathiravan won the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election by 10,299 votes against AIADMK candidate S. Selva Mohandas Pandian, while A. Rajaprakash contested from Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.Tenkasi is a key Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu, located in Tenkasi district, and is known for closely fought electoral contests. In the 2021 Assembly elections, S Palani Nadar of the Indian National Congress won the seat, narrowly defeating Selvamohandoss Pandian of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam by a margin of just 370 votes. The constituency is once again witnessing a competitive race, with Gowshik Pandiyan of the Naam Tamilar Katchi entering the fray, intensifying the contest among major parties.
