Bhopal: A 29-year-old physical education teacher at a private school in the Ratibad area allegedly died after a suspected heart attack on Monday after complaining of chest pain during school hours. Police filed a case and are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the actual cause of death.
Police said the deceased, Sourabh Khatik, 29, a resident of Kamla Nagar, was working as a sports teacher and also ran a private cricket academy.
Police said Sourabh had reached school in the morning as usual. At around 10am, he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. A colleague immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital in Ratibad, from where he was referred to another facility. He was then taken to a private hospital in the Habibganj area, where doctors referred him to Hamidia Hospital for further treatment. However, Sourabh died on the way, police said.
Police added that colleagues informed them Sourabh was engaged and his wedding was scheduled for Nov.
