CS approves multistorey parking at Neelkanth Mahadev, Ramnagar

Dehradun: Chief secretary (CS) Anand Bardhan approved the construction of multistorey parking facilities at Neelkanth Mahadev in Pauri Garhwal and Ramnagar in Nainital, directing adherence to parking construction guidelines. The decision was taken during a meeting of expenditure finance committee held at the Secretariat on Thursday, where proposals from multiple departments were reviewed.Bardhan stressed the need for special attention to technical aspects, particularly the turning radius for entry and exit points, in both projects. The Neelkanth Mahadev parking project is estimated to cost Rs 51.8 crore, while the Ramnagar facility will be built at a cost of Rs 38.5 crore. He also mandated a geotechnical survey of the land at Neelkanth Mahadev before construction begins.Among key decisions, Bardhan approved four proposals from the drinking water department. These include three drinking water schemes for Pipalkoti Nagar Panchayat (Rs 24.3 crore), Tilwara Nagar Panchayat (Rs 39.8 crore) and Ukhimath Nagar Panchayat (Rs 25.7 crore), along with a sewer line project for Lalkuan Nagar Panchayat worth Rs 37.9 lakh.
