Clash outside Thamarassery court after woman allowed to leave with boyfriend

Kozhikode: A clash broke out between a young woman's family and her boyfriend and his friends outside Thamarassery court after she was allowed by the court to go with her boyfriend.The two groups traded blows on state highway in front of the court. Family of the 20-year-old woman hailing from Cheruvadi had filed a complaint with Mukkam police on April 4 after she went missing.She along with her boyfriend appeared before police on Saturday following which they were produced before court. Court allowed to go as per her own will.When the woman was about to leave with her boyfriend, her family members tried to take her along, saying they would arrange her nikah marriage and then let her go with the boyfriend.This led to a confrontation, resulting in a clash. Subsequently, the woman left with her boyfriend.
