Mysuru: Under the Mysore City Police’s drug-free Mysuru campaign, Vimukthi, the Mysuru City Crime branch sleuths on Monday raided a home in Metagalli police limits and arrested four individuals, including two young women, on charges of possessing synthetic drugs.
According to a release from the office of commissioner of police, the CCB team seized 12.80 grams of prohibited MDMA valued at Rs 1.3 lakh.
Under the supervision of commissioner of police, deputy police commissioner and CCB unit ACP, CCB and officers and staff conducted an operation under the Vimukthi campaign.
Based on information, a raid was conducted on a house near Chandramouleshwara Temple in Siddalingapura village, where the prohibited drug MDMA was being consumed and stored for sale.
The arrested are Mujib Ur Rehman, Preeti M, Latha and Raghavendra.
Metagalli police have taken up a case under provisions of the NDPS Act and are investigating.
