Four shops sealed for LPG hoarding in Bhojpur
Ara: In an effort to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply across the district, Bhojpur DM Tanai Sultania and SP Raj on Thursday inspected several gas agencies in Ara. They checked the availability of LPG cylinders, transparency in distribution, promptness in home delivery, and the consumers’ grievance redressal mechanism.“Ensure uninterrupted, smooth and transparent supply of LPG to consumers. Any complaint regarding delay or irregularities must be addressed promptly so that the public does not face any inconvenience,” the DM directed agency operators.

Appealing to LPG consumers, the district magistrate said all gas agencies in Bhojpur have adequate LPG stock. “There is no need to panic or make unnecessary advance bookings. Instead, follow normal booking procedures so that gas distribution remains timely and equitable for all consumers across the district,” he said.Meanwhile, in Jagdishpur sub-division of Bhojpur district, four shops were sealed on charges of black marketing and illegal hoarding of LPG cylinders on Thursday.

“Acting on a tip-off, an inspection was carried out by the SDPO at several hotels, restaurants and shops in Bihiya, Jagdishpur and adjoining areas. The raids will continue in the future to curb irregularities in LPG distribution in the district,” a press release from the Bhojpur DM’s office said on Thursday evening.
