NAMAKKAL: The DMK govt has spent five years indulging in corruption without carrying out any development projects in the state, said AIADMK leader P Thangamani on Wednesday. The former minister, who is AIADMK’s candidate in Kumarapalayam assembly constituency in Namakkal district, began his election campaign after offering prayers at the ancient Easwaran Shiva temple near Samaya Sangili. He campaigned in MGR Nagar, Madurai Veeran Koil, Sulli Medu and Asari Kadu.

Speaking during the campaign, Thangamani criticised the DMK govt, stating that women and children were unsafe in Tamil Nadu. He said drug abuse among children was increasing. "Murders were occurring frequently," he said.
