Couple dies by suicide in Proddatur

Tirupati: A young couple, who recently relocated to Proddatur from Kurnool district, allegedly ended their lives by committing suicide at Lingapuram village in Proddatur mandal on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Ramanjaneyulu and Prameela. They were natives of Devanakonda village in Kurnool district. The couple relocated to Lingapuram village in Proddatur mandal about a month ago and rented a house. While it remains unclear what exactly happened, the young couple ended their lives by hanging from the ceiling. After being alerted by the locals about the couple's suicide, Proddatur rural police rushed to the spot and inspected the crime scene. They shifted the bodies of the deceased for postmortem and registered a case. The couple's suicide has orphaned their two young children, aged 5 and 7 years, who were inconsolable following the deaths of their parents.
