Ganesan C.V of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) won the Tittakudi constituency with a margin of 2629 votes. He garnered 63106 votes, while Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidate Rajasekar A came second with 60477 votes.
The ruling DMK has fielded C V Ganesan from Tittakudi Assembly constituency for the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, setting up a three-cornered contest against AIADMK’s N Murugumaran and TVK’s Rajasekar.
Tittakudi is a Reserved (SC) constituency in Cuddalore district. Since its creation in 2008, it has seen representation from the DMDK and DMK.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, DMK’s C. V. Ganesan retained the seat with 83,726 votes, defeating BJP candidate D.
Periyasamy, who secured 62,163 votes. The margin of victory was 21,563 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, DMK’s C. V. Ganesan won the seat by securing 65,139 votes, defeating AIADMK’s P. Ayyasamy, who received 62,927 votes. The margin of victory stood at a narrow 2,212 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, DMDK’s K. Tamil Azhagan won the seat with 61,897 votes, defeating VCK candidate M. Sinthanaiselvan, who secured 49,255 votes. The margin of victory was 12,642 votes.
