Bokakhat Assembly Constituency
Bokakhat Assembly constituency is a general category seat located in Golaghat district of Assam.
It now falls under the Kaziranga Parliamentary constituency. Earlier, it was part of the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat, which was abolished after the delimitation exercise.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,47,846 registered voters, with 1,20,427 valid votes cast.
Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Atul Bora won the seat with 72,930 votes. Independent candidate Pranab Doley finished second with 27,749 votes, losing by a margin of 45,181 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Bokakhat had 1,23,219 electors, with 1,05,454 valid votes recorded.
AGP candidate Atul Bora won the seat with 62,962 votes, defeating Congress candidate Arun Phukan, who secured 22,769 votes. The victory margin was 40,193 votes.
