Dhekiajuli is a rural assembly constituency in Assam's Sonitpur district, part of the Tezpur Lok Sabha constituency. It spans areas around Dhekiajuli town, known for tea gardens, agriculture, and historical significance in north Assam.
BJP's Ashok Singhal won decisively in 2021 with 93,768 votes (57per cent share) and a 35,070-vote margin over INC's Benudhar Nath (58,698 votes, 36per cent). He defended his 2016 victory with 71,425 votes (50per cent share).
Literacy stands at 81.66per cent, with 217,380 eligible electors in 2021 (110,867 males, 106,511 females) across diverse rural communities.
