Nazira Assembly constituency is a general (unreserved) seat located in Sivasagar district of Assam.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,33,974 registered voters, with 1,10,158 valid votes cast.
Congress candidate Debabrata Saikia won the seat with 52,387 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Mayur Borgohain finished second with 51,704 votes, losing by a narrow margin of 683 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Nazira had 1,19,255 electors, with 98,321 valid votes recorded.
Congress candidate Debabrata Saikia won the seat with 52,869 votes, defeating BJP candidate Prohlad Gowala, who secured 38,014 votes. The victory margin was 14,855 votes.
