Dhing Assembly Constituency
Dhing is a key Assembly constituency in Assam located in Nagaon district. In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 2,31,325 registered voters, with 2,07,244 valid votes cast.
All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) candidate Aminul Islam won the seat with 1,45,888 votes. Independent candidate Mehboob Muktar finished second with 42,921 votes, losing by a margin of 1,02,967 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Dhing had 1,88,167 electors, with 1,73,259 valid votes recorded.
AIUDF candidate Aminul Islam won with 82,786 votes, defeating Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Anwar Hussain, who secured 58,233 votes. The victory margin was 24,553 votes.
