Jolarpet Assembly constituency is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and has witnessed electoral contests mainly between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
In the 2021 Assembly elections, DMK’s K. Devaraji won the seat by securing 89,490 votes. He narrowly defeated AIADMK’s K. C. Veeramani, who secured 88,399 votes. The margin of victory stood at 1,091 votes.
Earlier, in the 2016 Assembly elections, Jolarpet had a total of 2,23,488 electors, of which 1,81,084 valid votes were polled. AIADMK’s K. C. Veeramani won the seat with 82,525 votes, defeating DMK’s C. Kavitha, who secured 71,534 votes. The margin of victory was 10,991 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,91,688 electors and recorded 1,56,501 valid votes. AIADMK’s K. C. Veeramani won the seat with 86,273 votes, defeating Pattali Makkal Katchi’s G. Ponnusamy, who secured 63,337 votes. The margin of victory stood at 22,936 votes.
