Veppanahalli Assembly constituency is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and has witnessed electoral contests mainly between the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
In the 2021 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s K. P. Munusamy won the seat by securing 94,104 votes. He defeated DMK’s P. Murugan, who secured 91,050 votes. The margin of victory stood at 3,054 votes.
Earlier, in the 2016 Assembly elections, Veppanahalli had a total of 2,28,145 electors, of which 1,93,325 valid votes were polled. DMK’s P. Murugan won the seat with 88,952 votes, defeating AIADMK’s A. V. M. Madhu (alias Hemnath M), who secured 83,724 votes. The margin of victory was 5,228 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,85,746 electors and recorded 1,58,504 valid votes. DMK’s T. Senguttuvan won the seat with 71,471 votes, defeating Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam’s S. M. Kandan (alias Murugesan), who secured 63,867 votes. The margin of victory stood at 7,604 votes.
